Vintage Turner Entertainment Wizard of Oz Toto Cairn Terrier Figurine 1994

This Cairn Terrier Figurine Toy is from 1994 and was made by Turner Entertainment. It is a Vintage Toto from the Wizard of Oz. Fun fact, many people think of Toto as being black and some think he was a Scottish Terrier or Scotty Dog - but that is because the beginning and end of the movie are shot in Black & White so in those portions Toto does look black, however, in the color portion we see he is actually a  a Cairn Terrier. In much of the film he does still look black with gray in him, however that just may have been lighting since other photos of Terry the Terrier (the dog's actual name) and he was a she in real life, you can see she is a bit more brown and tan which aligns more with the description of Toto from Frank L Baum's books although that Toto has longer silky hair which would be more like a Yorkie or Silky Terrier. This little Terrier got the gig though. The little ball of fur that we all adored as Dorothy's film companion is captured in this figurine in the more traditional coloring for a Cairn Terrier so whether you are a Cairn Terrier lover or a Toto lover or are grabbing Toto to complete a figurine set and yes, there is a set of Turner figurines from the movie apparently and Toto is a coveted part of it. Personally, I just want him to find a happy home. Happy Shopping!
